TYPE OF INTERVENTION

Electromechanical experimental module, composed of indispensable movable barriers for the temporary closure of the three outlines of the Venetian lagoon: Lido, Malamocco and Chioggia in defense of Venice and the surrounding historic centers, exposed to floods caused by exceptional tidal incursions.

The Cooperative is the protagonist in the implementation of the necessary measures for the regulation of abnormal tides and other operations necessary for the realization of the MOSE.

THE ACTIVITIES MADE CAN BE SUMMERED IN THREE AREAS;

BOCCA DI CHIOGGIA:
Realization of the dam at the mouth of the harbor.
Creating a fishing vessel for fishing vessels that allows the transit of local maritime traffic when the mobile barrier is lifted.
Supply and installation of tie rods, including metallic carpentry stiffening and sandblasting and varnishing treatments. In order to allow for the highest precision of assembly of the tie rods, the constituent elements are joined by a suitable pontoon. Provisions are provided on it so that the tie rods can be maintained during the installation phases of the sleeves. The pre-assembled bars on board the pontoon are then embellished with the help of chain saw and chains, and sailed with the onboard crane. Pre-assembled tie rods are pulled from the crane on wooden supports positioned for this purpose on the work plane; which will allow the altitude alignment of the bars. The connecting rods of the tie rods are inserted into the contrast plates previously positioned in the slots which are intended for the purpose of the poland.
